Alcohol Monitoring Systems, Inc.

Continuous Alcohol Monitoring (CAM) involves testing DUI, domestic violence, and other alcohol-related offenders for alcohol consumption through transdermal means, meaning that alcohol content is measured through the skin”by non-invasive means. Transdermal testing measures the concentration of alcohol present in the insensible perspiration that is constantly produced and given off by the skin. If an offender has been drinking, it shows up in the level of ethanol vapor present in this insensible perspiration. Alcohol Monitoring Systems, Inc. has led the market in continuous alcohol monitoring since 2003 with SCRAM (Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor) the peer-reviewed and proven tool that monitors offenders around the clock to determine if they have consumed alcohol. Because of its continuous monitoring capabilities, SCRAM is now solving the random testing problem for drug courts and agencies throughout Michigan and across the country. Throughout Michigan, SCRAM is offered through House Arrest Services (586.773.0700) and the Department of Corrections. Please contact them for more details on how to get a SCRAM program started within your court or agency.  For more information contact Alcohol Monitoring Systems directly @ 800.557.0861.

Michigan Ignition Interlock Providers Association

Michigan Ignition Interlock Providers Association (MIIPA) represents all Michigan certified interlock companies.  We formed the association in 2004 so we may better educate the Judicial and State departments as well as the public.  We have worked with MADD, key traffic safety officials, legislators and national organizations to help produce HB4289, HB4920 and HB4921.  These three bills are now in the Senate.

Ignition interlock is a device that stops a vehicle from starting if there is alcohol present.  The main purpose of the program is to stop an offender  from continuing their bad behavior while safeguarding the community.  The device can also be used as a daily PBT so the courts cna monitor the offender and predict future behavior.  Interlock has been proven effective and it is the only tool that stops drinking and driving.

SENICA, Inc.

SENICA is a court-ordered education company offering programs for drug/alcohol awareness, driving
rehabilitation, anger management, domestic violence, retail theft, and many others.  Innovative
technologies such as the SENICA "Black Box", a custom driving simulator, and an interlock device are used to support the classroom components.  SENICA reduces probation officer workloads with extensive systems that manage many aspects of the compliance process.
