Adult Drug Treatment Court

The Third Judicial Circuit of Michigan is located in the City of Detroit, County of Wayne.  As the largest criminal court in the state, we meet the needs of a large number of drug-addicted offenders. The Adult Drug Court Program is a Priority Population Drug Court that serves adult non-violent felony offenders who seek redirection through alternative sentencing and ongoing judicial intervention.  The current program has been in operation since 2003.  Annually, the program accepts approximately 134 new participants. The Third Circuit Adult Drug Court has recently partnered with Wayne County Children and Family Services to offer Relapse  Prevention classes to our participants.  The Adult Drug Treatment Court also recently enhanced the program by adding a component which targets offenders with lower guidelines. Staff members of the Adult Drug Treatment Court include the Director of Drug and Problem Solving Courts, the coordinator, and three case managers.
