Court
The
mission of the 36th District Court - Drug
Treatment Court
is to reduce the use and abuse of alcohol and other drugs and to reduce
recidivism in drug related criminal activity. The Drug Treatment Court of 36th
District Court serves the population within Detroit
and surrounding areas. The Drug
Treatment Court Team members are Judge Leonia J. Lloyd, Kim Chapman,
Director/Probation Division, Coordinator Cathy Mullins, Supervisor Teresa
Revels, Case Managers Dominique Cobb, Allen Black, Robin Mitchell, Matt Miller,
and Clerical support Chyonna Cooper.
Project
Fresh Start is a component of the Drug Treatment Program that services known
prostitutes that are substance abusers.
Each case manager is able to carry a caseload of 50 clients. 36th District Court is able to provide
onsite substance abuse assessments via the assessor from Detroit Health
Department, Mr. Al Cooper.
The
Drug
Treatment Court
team works expeditiously to assist the clients with early intervention,
treatment and rehabilitation of drug offenders who desire to improve
circumstances in their lives and break the cycle of drug
dependency.
